This listing is for 2 gorgeous Czech Art Deco Miniature Bottles, known as flacons. The first bottle has a cobalt blue bottle encased with gold filigree. It has an elegant gold filigree design, with many blue and aquamarine jewels. It stands 2.9 in high and is 1.6 in at its base. The crowned cap holds a small glass dauber. The second bottle is aqua blue with a beautiful gold filigree design. It has a larger aquamarine jewel surrounded by 3 other jewels of the same color. It stands 2.5 in high and is 1.2 in at its base. It too has a crowned cap that holds a small glass dauber.
Flacons are miniature, filigree perfume bottles, hand crafted by local artisans in the Czech Republic. The flacons I am selling were created in Jablonec nad Nisou in the Liberec Region, which is known for its glass and jewelry production. Flacons were collected and traded by many women during the Art Deco Era in Europe (1920’s - 1930’s). Their popularity has held over the years and they continue to be produced and purchased today.
