Copper & Pewter 1850-1870's Hand Hammered & Designed Unique Goblet or Vase Well Done By Master Metal-smith, gorgeous & functional.
Rare, very unique hand hammered, designed heavily worked copper & pewter piece, great lady with swirling hair on 2 sides, hammered all over with very clever renderings, unusual and very well done, functional, but also displays as an Older Antique Art piece as well. Virtually no dents or damage, has many hammerings throughout all around the piece, easily 1850's to 1870's & done by a fine metal craftsman, possibly a commissioned piece for someone important or wealthy at the time.
Measures: 10.75 inches tall, ribbed well done rim work, 7 inches deep (works for 1/2 dozen flowers med stem, or as a goblet for beer or wine!) Or just sits & looks pretty!! 3.5 inches across the top rim around, gorgeous hand done female heads on 2 sides, tapered stem goes down to a flared our base of 5.5 inches the copper poofs out and the entire rim of base is done in a gorgeous pewter outer design.
In original as we bought 25+ years at estate sale in SF CA. No marks, signature unfortunately!
