An antique Copeland Spode covered tureen with blue transferware pattern, possibly \"Richmond Views.\" Round body and lid feature vegetal form handles, imitation lace trims, and vignettes of pastoral bridge scenes. In fair vintage condition, a little dusty/dirty with general wear from age/use, such as surface scratches, some losses/fading to the blue pattern, crazing to exterior and interior (interior crazing has slight discoloration), roughness/wear to the tureen handles, a chip repair to the lid underside, a few small chips to the lid, and roughness around edges - see photos. Measures approx. 11\"h, 9.5\"dia at opening. Stamped on understand with Copeland crown hallmark (mid-nineteenth century), clover, and J 78 (January, 1878) date mark.
