SS Lakemba was built in 1945. Sold to Pacific Shipowners (WRCarpenter) in 1947 and was refitted with accommodation for 98 passengers andplaced on the run Vancouver, Honolulu, Fiji and Sydney. Hit a reef off Fiji andsunk in 1967.
