1.A double tool with a laterally retouched bladewith a nosed truncation/hook. The evenblade segment presents an interesting, retouched truncation at its thin distalend. Part of it is straight, at theright part of a nose, and a retouch is made on both the interior andexterior. The other end represents a breakat which a second working edge has been added.A rather small notch at the edge makes a hook, or awl, together with thestraight end. The tool was intensivelyused, and the hook is visibly rounded and worn.The tool was fashioned out of brown semi-translucent flint. Fournou du Diable.

2.A sturdy point fashioed out of dark flint with acortical proximal end. The distal endpresents considerable retouch at both edges, and the left edge shows continuousfine lateral retouch. Grotte des les Eyzies.

3.A burin fashioned out of a dark colored flintblade, the distal end of which was probably intentionally broken off. Two burin blows are evident at the leftedge. The right edge exhibits acontinuous lateral retouching. LaMagdalenne.

4.An end scraper fashioned on a dark brown flintblade. The long awl is carefully andalternately retouched. The left edge iscortical, while the other edge exhibits fine modification--rounded and wornthrough use. La Magdalenne.

5.A typical, well-made borer fashioned from darkbrown flint. The piece is carefullyretouched. The tip is broken but waslong enough to remain in use. LaMagdalenne.

6.A double burin fashioned on a tan coloredblade. The burin is an excellent exampleof one on an oblique retouched truncation.The right edge shows at least four burin blows, and the active part ofthe burin shows fine splintering scars.The other end shows a beautiful oblique retouched truncation and threeshort narrow blows. 7.A borer on a blade fashioned from light grayflint. The blade has a very fineserrated retouch. The left edge has beenworked as a borer with additional retouch on the interior side and at the leftedge of the tiny borer/awl. Grotte des les Eyzies.

8.A gray flint end scraper fashioned on ablade. The piece is of a classic typefashioned on a sturdy blade. The distalend is wide and rather thin with careful retouching. Fournou de Diable.

9.An exceptional dihedral burin on patinated darkflint. The multiple dihedral burin isexceptional in that it is completely exhausted and was resharpened several timeswith burin blows before being discarded.One edge shows two burin blows; the other shows three. The small \"nose\" between the burinblows served as the platform for the burin blows. One edge showing the longest burin blow alsoshows lateral retouching. The piece isvery well preserved with no modern damage.Fournou du Diable.

10. Anotched blade fashioned on dark gray flint.The working edge (left) shows continuous lateral retouching thatcontinues through the notch. Fournou duDiable.

11. Aconcave thumbnail scraper fashioned on a patinated gray flake. The form is quite rare. The concave edge shows retouching whereas theright edge shows a tiny notch on the interior that was perhaps used forpolishing needles. Fournou du Diable.

12. Five(5) micro-lithic blades from Laugerie-Haute.
