Grade VG/FN 5.0 Year 1957 Publisher Classics Illustrated

This is a mid grade item. It will have enough minor defects that it is in clearly worse condition than a brand new freshly published comic, magazine, or book. Allowed defects for this grade include: a spine split of less than half an inch, minor water spotting or other residue, impacted corners, and an accumulation or spine stresses that may break color. An item could be assigned this grade due to either an accumulation of minor defects or one or two moderate defects.

Lord Jim, 1st Printing, Painted Cover. Art by George Evans. (HRN 136, with 1/57 date). To the natives of the jungle village where he chose to conceal himself, he was known as Lord Jim. He had, of course, another name, be he was anxious that it should not be known. This was not meant to hide a personality, but a naked and ugly fact. For Jim, as a young man, had made one error. And the thought of what he had done tortured him until he died.
