Circa 1876 38-star CentennialMedallion Parade Flag

The 38-Star Flag: This Flag became the Official United States Flag on July 4th, 1877. A star was added for the admission ofColorado(August 1st 1876)

Made of cotton with print dye. Parade Flags like this are a piece ofindustrial history as they were produced on a roll, printed on one side, attachedto wooden sticks using adhesive, and then shipped to Hardware and GeneralStores, which would sell to the general public for ceremonies.

Great piece of American history!

100% authentic. Housed in a vintage frame, with acid free backboard.
