HISTORYThe Chattahoochee Valley Railroad was chartered in Alabama on August 28, 1895, and the road was opened from West Point, GA southward to Riverview, AL, 8.0 miles, in January 1897. Connected at West Point, GA with the Western Railway of Alabama and the Atlanta & West Point. The line from Riverview, AL to Jester, AL, 8.50 miles, was built during 1899-1900. Total length of line, West Point to Jester, was 16.5 miles.The Chattahoochee Valley Railway was incorporated in Alabama and Georgia on June 7, 1900, as a consolidation of the Chattahoochee Railroad of Georgia and Alabama. The line from West Point, GA northwestward to Standing Rock, AL, 16.03 miles, was built during 1907-08, and, on the southern end, from McCulloh to Bleeker, AL, 12.00 miles, in 1916.NEW 5X8 FULL FRAME PHOTO FROM ORIGINAL 120, 4x5, 5x7, 616 OR 122 SIZE NEGATIVES
