Measures 80.5" wide by 56" tall.
The banner was to commemorate "Charlie Duke Day" in his hometown of Lancaster, SC. A homecoming celebration with parade and dignatories was held.Richard Nixon's brother Edwardwas present to represent the White House.The banner came from his Aunt who collected stuff about Charlie, and then to me! According to Charlie Duke's memoirs, there were a dozen of these banners at the Duke Day stadium in Lancaster. Duke: "The stadium was packed. The bleachers were decorated with a dozen of Springmaid cotton sheets, which had been silk-screened with a picture of me in my space suit, the Apollo 16 patch and the words WELCOME HOME printed across the top.
