This antique postcard depicts a group of cavalry soldiers with a field artillery cannon in about1908. The postcard features an IPC&N Co. monogram with Series-Card#170-?? and a one-cent Ben Franklin stamp with a unique gingerbread definitive and is hand-cancelled. The postcard measures the standard size of 5.5 x 3.5 inches and is made of cardstock. The real photo (RPPC) postcard is in its original condition and has a divided back. It was manufactured by the Illustrated Post Card Co. in New York, USA and has a tinted halftone card era. The postcard is an excellent piece of social history that portrays soldier training, cavalry, uniforms, patriotic themes, artillery, horses, and events.
