(Horace) Lipscomb. He was born about 1850 and ventured into the hardware business with his association with the Dodd, Dudley & Lipscomb Co. in 1877. Shortly There after, he went alone and started his own business in 1891, and positioned the business at 138,140 & 142 Second Avenue North in Nashville, TN.. H.G. Lipscomb Incorporated in 1910 but unfortunately died soon after at home in 1912 at age 62. The Business was continued by family and still survives today!
