A very interesting pamphlet printing briefparagraphs of numerous Connecticut soldiers experiences during WWII. It printsthe soldiers names, their rank and the unit they were attached to during thewar followed by a specific combat ornon-combat actions and experiences the soldier was a part of. The stories arein there own words and certainly gives credence to why they were call the “greatestgeneration”. There are numerous harrowing stories of unsung bravery andsuffering.

The last 7 pages print THE MUSTER OUT ROLL CALL, NAMES, RANK, AND ADRESSES OF Connecticut men dischargedduring the period September 18 to 22, 1945 from the Official Group Rosters, FortDevens Separation Center, Mass.

This is a rare pamphlet and somebody should domore research on the men who contributed their stories as I image most of themwere never passed on to family members.

The original mailing envelope is addressed to T/5Peter J. Dobosz, RFD 2, Manchester, Conn. And his name appears in the MusterOut Roll Call.

There are no copies for sale at on line booksellersites and no copies in institutional holdings.

The pamphlet measures 5 ½ x 7 ½ inches, stapledbinding, 20 pages, illustrated printed wrappers, light shelf wear to covers andfaint otherwise in very good condition, tight and intact, clean, odor free. Originalmailing envelope present with light age tanning, faint soiling and closed tearat closure flap otherwise in good condition.
