Traffic on both the CNJ and PRR mainlines was heavy

enough so that it wasn’t unheard of for two trains to cross

over-and-under at Elizabeth, NJ, but catching a Pennsy

GG1 and a Jersey Central F3A/B lash-up... now that’s

something special. Andy rode the PRR trains to and from

his office in New York City for twenty years, always hop-

ing to see a scene like this... but alas, in that time the

CNJ and Pennsy disappeared into history, so in the end

it was left to his imagination to create the scene... some-

thing far too special to give up on.
