This is the Senior year for one of the most beloved cartoon creatorsof all time, Charles Schulz, whose cast of Peanuts characters willlive on forever!! He is pictured in this book twice, once with his posed individual headphoto as a Senior and once on the yearbook staff. What is ironic isthat as a member of the yearbook staff his cartoons were rejected!!
This particular copy is in excellent overall condition. This book, which waspublished just before the beginning of WWII has board covers and isbound with a red spiral plastic binding. Over the years the plasticgets brittle if not stored well and from that, as well as normal use,when that spiral breaks, the books start to come apart and so the"survival" rate for these (combined with WWII dislocations) is muchlower than that of comparable yearbooks. This copy shows some shelfrubbings on the cover, some very mild corner wear and the top and bottom red spirals on the spine are split; however the other 19 are perfect and this has NO impact on the book or its "stability" at all. The inside shows normal writings and inscriptions and mild, but not abusive wear. This copy will rank in the middle tier ofthose I have ever seen and has NO MAJOR DEFECT (no water damage, no cutouts, no torn or missing pages and nothing marking on or near Charles' 2 photos in the book) and will make a great collectible for fans ofPeanuts, Charles Schulz and great Cartoonists!!
