DC53 Tool Steelis a tool steel with exceptional toughness, wear resistance, compressive strength and temper resistance. These properties are obtained through its chemistry. Primary Carofferes in DC53are relatively small with highly uniform distribution as compared to other lower grade tool steels such as D2. This helps to provide DC53with its superior toughness and fatigue resistances. DC53 has twice the toughness of D2 with superior wear resistance and substantially higher fatigue strength compared to D2 and holds an edge extremely well.

The knife comes with the high-quality cowhide leather sheath in the photos. If the sheath has a loop it is for a fire starter or sharpening rod (NOT included). If the sheath has attached straps they are for concealed and horizontal carry options.
KNIFE CARE AND CLEANING:When needed, use a Diamond Wet Stone or better to re-sharpen the blade. When doneusingthe knife, wash it in soap and water, dry completely, coat in olive oil and store away from the sheath. Leather pulls moisture out of the air and can rust the blade and bolsters if stored improperly.
