CF Monroe Mount Washington Salt & Pepper Shakers 1890's Rare
Super special pair of antique salt & pepper shakers with appealing imagery from a bygone era.
One is in a blue milk white opaque glass with what appears to be a cottage scene and the other is green milk white opaque glass and a tabby cat in a meadow with a spider web above it.
These salt & pepper shakers were itroduced in about 1890 by either CF Monroe ( Wavecrest) or the Mount Washington Glass Company. The form is a ring neck mold variation. The shakers are 4 inches high and 1.5 inches in diameter.
Shakers have a nice look and feel to them and weigh in at slightly over 110 grams. Mechanically they work great.
Shakers are in very good condition overall, green shaker has a chip on neck which is only visible when cap of shaker is removed.
