Four happy children, two black and two white, are posed standing next to a donkey. This photograph appears to have been taken in an encampment of some kind. Two open tents are visible behind the children. We date the photograph to circa 1890. In our opinion, the image is of average, or slightly below, quality, particularly the far-left side section which is somewhat light. Certainly, a heartwarming scene. The photographic image measures 4 5/8\" x 3 3/4\"; the mount measures 6 1/4\" x 5\". Please review the preceding condition description box and photo gallery.
