A lot of 2 original items relative to the construction of New York\'s Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, described as follows:

1) 1947 New York Times magazine article titled \"Our Greatest Venture in Tunnels: From the Battery and from Brooklyn men are driving a 9,000-foot artery for traffic.\" The article consists of 3 pages (2 back-to-back), with 5 B&W drawings by Lili Rethi. Pages measure approximately 11 1/2\" x 13 1/2\", and are in very good condition (fold across center of pages; #136 in black marker at top left corner).

2) 1950 vintage magazine print advertisement by the Eugene Dietzgen Company titled \"From Brooklyn to the Battery … the Hard Way\", with color illustration by Rudi (no additional information on artist); measures approximately 10\" x 13\", and is in excellent condition.
