- This listing is for an individual piece of art that isunique and is a very heavy (apparently issolid bronze) statue / sculpture of a tiger - artist unknown.

- The tiger is said to be lucky and brave and according to Chinese traditional beliefs: having a tiger in the house is a way to protect against the evils of fire or theft or misfortune and are believed to be able to eat evil spirits, or at least cause them to flee.

- The exact age unknown, but this item was from a local estate sale and was consistent with the majority of the items that were believed to be from around the-turn-of-the century.

- Weight (before packaging): approx 9 pound(s) – 8 ozs .

MARKINGS

- This item is NOT marked and is NON-magnetic.

- This item is approx: 4 5/8 at the tip of the ear, 10 3/8 long from the face to the tail and is 2 3/4 wide.

CONDITION

- Conditionvery good or better - as shown in the photos.

There are a few imperfections from the casting process:

- 1. The right front leg and foot is incomplete / not fully cast.

- 2. There are several other surface imperfections.

- 3. The bronze surface has a nice aged color.

- Photos WILL likely have glare and reflection.Shipping

Terms of Sale
