Highway 5 is the southern branch of the Yellowhead Trail, a major east-west highway in Canada. the main road is highway 16 heading to Prince Rupert, while 5 branches off and heads southwest toward Vancouver. this sign is made to the exact early 1960s standard in use from when the trail was first signed with the yellow head in 1970.The sign is 14 x 16 1/4 inches and weighs a solid 5 pounds, 2 ounces, as it is constructed out of durable, heavy steel, for an appearance that is nearly indistinguishable from the old porcelain signs that were originally used back in the day.
