Extra Large Blue John Sliced Thick Slab from Derbyshire - Semi-polishedThis is a superb slice of Blue John Fluorite from old stock. The piece shows the classic blue-purple and yellow banding from which Blue John derives its name. It has been sliced to two faces and polished on one face. The other face is unpolished and it is natural, rough around the edges. It is a great specimen from this classic location.
The piece weighs 540g and measures approx 15.5cm x 9cm and a maximum of 2cm thick, and is best viewed under magnification to see the full detail (All weights and measures are approximate)
It is a beautiful piece which would appeal equally to collectors or to display in the home
