Cover oxidation.

This is a low grade item. It will be complete and readable, but will show significant wear. Allowed defects for this grade include: spine roll, a moderate amount of staining or water damage, writing or other marks on the cover, up to one inch spine splits or other tears, a cover or centerfold that is detached at one staple, discoloration due to oxidation, and a minor piece or pieces missing. An item could be assigned this grade due to either an accumulation of minor/moderate defects or one or two major defects.

Description

Cover by Steve Ditko. Stories and art by Steve Ditko, David Charles Glanzman and Dick Giordano. The third (or fourth, depending on how you count it) Charlton series to feature the Blue Beetle introduces the Silver Age BB, Ted Kord (after his debut as a backup character in Captain Atom). In one of the first superhero \"reboots,\" Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko gives the Golden Age hero a new look, new tech, and a new alter ego, then sets him against the Squid Gang. The backup story introduces another classic Ditko hero: Vic Sage, the faceless crimefighter known as The Question. Blue Beetle Bugs the Squids; Who is the Question? 32 pages, Full Color.
