I\'m fairly sure that this is a mourning piece. It\'s a board frame painted black with gold filigree edging holding a piece of glass over the photos. The glass is painted black on the back. The photos appear to be one young man in four poses. The frame measures about 14\" x 11\" and the photos are 1 1/2\" x 2\". The black on the glass appears to be compromised in some places around the edge, but it\'s in otherwise good condition .
