Very Rare Find! This beautiful Santa was handmade and handcrafted by Bethany Lowe; she also signed this piece. Bethany is now retired and no longer makes these one-of-a-kind Santa\'s. It is number 4 out of 25 ever made. These Santas were originally sold at Bergdorf Goodman for approximately $2000 retail in 2009. This Santa is in good condition with no rips, tears, or holes. Only one repair was made to him, and that was the toy in his lefthand was repaired by gluing it to reinforce it.

The body is made of batting; the beard and trim on the boot are made of real sheep\'s wool.This is a 2009 Santa with Sculptured Face and Hands; Santa is standing and has a tool belt apron in the front. In the tool belt, there is a paint brush, a tool, a miniature bear Santa, a pair of round reading glasses, and a plank of wood. He has a mallet in one hand and a toy rocking horse in the other. He has a measuring tape draped around his shoulders. Straped to his back right side is a wooden tool box with 2 books, a mini Christmas tree, and a raggedy ann doll. There is a string of Christmas lights strewn around the tool box. On the bottom of the right boot is signed with: \"Copyright 2009 Carpenter Claus Bethany Lowe 4/25.\"

Bethany Lowe is a Self Taught Artist. She created her first Santa in 1987. Vintage robes and fabrics, antique toys, and artist hand-sculpted faces set her work apart from the other artists. These early days of delivering unique designs that resonated with folk art enthusiasts quickly earned Bethany Lowe a reputation as a visionary who would take the time and effort to make things the old fashion way.
