This listing is for a beautiful vintage Marwal 15" high quality chalkware bust of the Virgin Mary, Madonna & Child. It is a reproduction of the statue "The Mother" sculpted by Raffaele Monti in 1871. In person, this bust conveys a very peaceful and serene energy to it as it conveys the deep love of a mother for her child. One can appreciate the craftsmanship and great skill that went into making this work of art with its fine, intricate details. This reproduction stands at 15" high x 10" long x 7" wide. The base is 5-1/4" in diameter. It weighs 6 pounds 7 ounces. The base has black felt glued to the bottom of it to prevent damage to surfaces. There are a few light nicks and marks but no cracks or breaks. It is in excellent vintage condition. With its classic design and timeless appeal, this bust makes a beautiful display in any setting.
