This is a beautiful unfinished vintage quilt topper with the needle still in place. Appears to be silk or similar. The colors and patterns are vibrant. This piece just came out of a MCM estate in Connecticut. I’m not washing it - I don’t want to risk any damage, particularly because the needle is still in place.
I anticipate that this was made in the 1950s at the latest, but probably earlier.
