Starting from 1960, Montblanc took a bold step to redesigned its entire line of products towards the slim-bodied, sleek and modern design. This process was further refined in 1971. The Montblanc 320 was born under this background. It has plastic (resin) body and cap, black main but also in burgundy, with one cap band ring and a 14K (stamped "585" only) hooded wing nib submerged under a smoothly curved section tip. The nib is a firm nib, catering for those who were used to writing with ballpoint pens and with more pressure. The 320 was available mostly as piston-fillers but cartridge/converter version become more and more popular in the late 1970's.
TheMontblanc 320for sale here is black in color and has an excellent 14K gold nib that writes not only smoothly but also with good ink flow. I have been writing with the pen everyday and enjoy it very much.
It is a cartridge-filler and will take any standard international cartridge or converter. The tiny14K roll-gold plated cap band is stamped"Montblanc Germany". The gold plated trim and clip are still in very good condition without any loss of plating. The body has no observable scratch or damage. This is a beautiful Montblanc. Having said that, this is a presentation pen with 2 lines of engravings in gold, suggesting it was a present to those outstanding athletes of the Juntendo University, Tokyo Japan, in 1981.
The pen measures 135.1 mm long and 13 mm at the widest, and weighs 13 g.
