This charming vintage postcard, dated 1938, features two of Louisiana’s iconic landmarks: the Louisiana State Capitol in Baton Rouge and the Huey P. Long Bridge in New Orleans. The front of the postcard showcases a beautifully colored illustration of both structures, with an inset portrait of Senator Huey P. Long, who was instrumental in their conception and Vivid illustration of the Louisiana State Capitol and Huey P. Long Bridge, with an inset portrait of Huey P. Long. Back: Includes a brief description of the landmarks, a 1-cent U.S. postage stamp, and a handwritten message dated July 4, 1938, sent from New Orleans.Condition: The postcard is in good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age. Some fading and edge wear are present, as shown in the photos.
