Please make sure you read this listing and description very carefully and in it\'s entirety prior to purchase. Tonight, I am listing 4 lots of vintage postcards from Bath, Maine. In the next day or two, I will list some from Augusta, Maine as well as Bangor Maine and finally a group of 125-150 or so from various places all over Maine.
These came from a ladies estate, who was an avid collector and postcard dealer. She had approximately 2 million or more postcards. Each card is in its own protective plastic sleeve and there is a price sticker on that sleeve. Those were her prices, not mine. I\'m not sure how realistic they are or how current, because with 2 million postcards, I don\'t think she was updating prices to terribly often. Tonights listings will have 11 cards in each listing. Picture #1 will be the overall lot. Picture #2 will be the cardboard sandwich that I was going to use to mail them, until the post office told me that anything that wasn\'t flexible such as an envelope, has to be shipped as a package. So, regardless of whether or not I use a two piece cardboard sandwich, or a small box, the shipping will be $6 first class mail. I know other people sell postcards with just $1 shipping or so, but evidently, they are just slapping them in a bendable envelope and off they go. I\'m not even sure how that works, since there is no tracking # to upload for proof of shipment and of course tracking to confirm delivery. Anyway, back to the show. Picture #3 will be the front of postcard #1, picture #4 will be the back of postcard #1. Picture 5 will be the front of postcard #2 and picture #6 will be the back of postcard #2. That will go on for 11 cards and will max out the 24 pictures per listing that allows. That way, you can look at the front of the card and enlarge it, as well as the back to examine post mark dates, regions, if it\'s used or not, or whatever you get excited about. So, there will be 4 lots tonight for $14.99 per lot and $6 shipping. If you buy more than one lot, I\'ll just refund the shipping on all lots after the first $6, provided they are all shipping to the same address and that they all ship together.
