BRITISH VICTORIAN CAVALRY OFFICER\'S ACANTHUS LEAF POUCH FITTINGS:

THIS IS A LOT CONSISTING OF AN ORIGINAL, UNBADGED, OFFICER’S POUCH AND A REPRODUCTION POUCH BELT. Acquired from a reactor, the pouch is black leather, with a silvered plate (stay-bright, or chromed) and brass acanthus leaf loop fittings. It is in very good condition with only some slight scratches on the face plate. I cannot tell if the decorative edging is engraved or stamped and I’m not an expert on this equipment. The black leather belt has gilt buckle, slider and tip, as well as gilt boss, chains and cavalry prickers. I’m told these came from the late Keith Perks “Thin Red Line” and are in excellent condition. The belt leather is black, about 10-12 oz. leather, with the correct ball-stud fastenings at each end. This would be excellent for reenacting or display with an appropriate patrol jacket uniform.
