Fred Spurgin a talented and prolific artist of vintage postcards (his signature appears at the lower-right portion), has provided this wonderful lithographic illustration titled \"If I dare--but I daresn\'t\". It shows a post-Victorian era boy dressed in period attire sneaking up on his Grampa who\'s asleep in a chair. Notice the cricket bat that the boy is carrying. When you supersize image 1 you will see the fine detail on this wonderful card. The artistry is terrific and the colors are still good.This cute card has been posted and has a 1914 cancellation across the one-cent stamp on the divided back.Some lucky buyer will take this 110 year-old card home with them--will it be you?!? CONDITION: Expected light soiling (a little heavier on the back) with corner blunting. A bit of surface and edge wear. No stains or rips. A small, light diagonal crease at the bottom. Clear image. Good colors. This 110 year-old paper antique presents very nicely.
