A mother Beaver and her young kits adorn this year’s Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day Plate, symbolizing the unbreakable bond between mother and child. The scene is embossed on Danish porcelain and hand painted in traditional Copenhagen blue under the glaze. Designed by Allan Therkelsen. Pierced foot for hanging wire. Appropriately marked on the back, including the three tower trademark of Bing & Grondahl. Diameter just under 6 inches. This is the 56th plate in the Bing & Grondahl Mother’s Day plate series. Bing & Grondahl introduced the FIRST Mother’s Day plate in 1969, and it is still the most popular and longest running Mother’s Day series of all time!
