We are offering a collection of 15 pieces of sheet music by Bert A. Williams from 1919 to 1921. The sheet music is in a 12 1/2" x 13 1/2" album, and each one is in its individual plastic sleeve. **NOTE** - there are two copies of "I Want to Know Where Tosti Went", "It's Nobody's Business But My Own", and "Get Up". CONDITION: generally Good/Very Good; a few are Excellent.

**NOTE** -Bert A. Williams (1874-1922) -was one of the most successful entertainers of the vaudeville era and one of the most popular comedians of his time, appealing to all audiences. He also was the best-selling recording artist before 1920. According to what we read, Williams was the first black person to take a lead role on the Broadway stage and did much to push back racial barriers in an age where racial inequality and stereotyping were commonplace. Bert Williams teamed up with George Walker, becoming one of the most successful comedy teams of their era, both domestically and abroad, even playing a command performance in Dahomey [jointly produced and written by the team) in England for King Edward VII in 1903.
