BEAUTIFUL Ancient Byzantine Gold Cross Pendant With Garnet C.6th-8th cent. A.D.:

For sale is an extremely fine stunning Byzantine gold cross pendant, modelled from hollow high karat gold. The cross features the classic Latin-cross shape, centred by a single garnet inset, and a suspension loop to the top. A wonderful example of Byzantine goldsmith art, once belonged to a member of the high class or a bishop.

Condition: Extremely fine, complete and intact. Please refer to photos for more details.

The cross is suitable for modern wear with care.
