This vintage real photo postcard features a portrait of beautiful actress Emmy Wehlen (1887-1977). Miss Wehlen was born in Germany and is known as an Edwardian Musical Comedy and silent film actress. She received musical training at the Mannheim Conservatory and began her theater career on the major stages in Germany. She was brought to England and in 1909 performed in plays such as \"The Merry Widow\" and the \"Dollar Princess\". Her next stop was New York\'s Broadway where she made her debut in 1911. Although Wehlen lived a long life, she disappeared from the public eye while she was just in her thirties. The postcard was produced by the Rotary Postcard Company. This postcard is used and mailed yet is in very good condition. The image has terrific clarity.
