1960s vintage anniversary type mechanical mantel clock made by Kern & Sohnne. This extremely decorative model with heavy rococo gilt brass mounts and oval glass dome. The clock weighs 4.62 lbs with the dome and 3.59 without the dome. The fabulous red dial sets the whole piece ablaze with drama!

I have had this clock over a year and am scared to use it. It should be in a home where it can be enjoyed as the piece of art it is. I have only seen one other listed anywhere and even in clock collecting groups it has only been seen by a handful of others.

The clock currently runs. How well or long I’m not sure. I watched a YouTube video on how to start a 400 day clock to see if I could get it running. I let it go about 5 minutes then put the pendulum lock back on. I’m listing the clock as not working just to cover my butt. I bought a clock key that clearly isn’t the original but it fits and could be used to wind the clock.
