TOPIC - This is an original document with signature from Admiral Harold Page Smith - this is a completely handwritten letter outlining highlights of his career including joining the Navy in 1920 and retiring as an Admiral in 1965 from the post as Commander in Chief, US Atlantic Fleet, and Supreme Allied Commander, Atlantic in the NATO Organization. He states the highlight of his career was receiving the Distinquished Service Medal from President Lyndon Johnson at the White House when he retired.
