Very nice hammer stone from Ohio , Auglaize County. This beautiful speckled granit hammer is 3/4 groove. Perfect shape looks to me as if it was fairly new or not long finished. Do to its very minimal wear or use. I have hammers worn down to a nub. Like Andy Dofrain rock hammer ! Considering the effort and time to make one I get it. But this is a great piece and also found surface hunting fields maybe 15 years ago when it was saved. It has a couple light surface scratches that could happen at use. But most likely farm equipment. No matter insignificant to its unique type of stone. It looks like it has paint drops on it in a couple places. I assure everyone. It is not paint it is in the stone.
