Authentic WWI Ace Albert Dossenbach Wohlfahrtskarte Welfare Card German PostcardThis listing is for an unused authentic WWI Veterans Welfare (Wohlfahrtskarte) postcard featuring a photograph of the Royal Prussian fighter squadron 36 (Jagdstaffel 36) first squadron commander Albert Dossenbach of the Luftstreitkrafte air arm of the Imperial German Army. The commander is wearing his medals including the Blue Max and Iron Cross and is standing in front of the Albatros DIII fighter plane. The commander's jaw was obviously broken at one point and these postcards were sold to generate money to care for the disabled veteran airmen from WWI. The card is unused but has foxing and other signs of age. Please see photos of the actual item that you will receive.
