Foryour consideration is an Art Deco FRANKART ‘Fortune Teller’ Lamp ModelNo. L263, circa 1930’s, designed by Louise Cross.

Frankart Inc., New York, New York, produced avariety of nude lady lamps, bookends, ashtrays, and other decorative Art Decoitems in the 1920s and 1930s.

The piece depicts a bold feminine head with along slender neck with hands out around the globed shade. The iridescent art glassshade (which is not original to the lamp) was made by Pallme Konig (Austrian 1920-30’s).The shade has a yellowish ground color with random orange oil spotting andcompliments the lamp nicely. The base is illegibly marked on bottom outer edge- see pic.

Lamp measures approx. 8.75\" tall by 6\" at widest, shade measures approx. 3\" tall by 4\" at widest with 2.25\" fitter.

Thepiece is in great vintage condition. The top figure & bottom base have age related wear with no cracks or repairs. The base has some denting to the sides,the bottom is felt covered. The shade is in greatcondition with no chips, cracks or repairs and very lite wear.The lamp does work though we highly recommend, as with all used electrical items, that electrical components be inspected by a qualified person before use.
