Arizona State Route 90 route marker.

Up for sale today is this Arizona state route 90 sign. Made to the exact 1940 standard, as used between then and the early 1950s in the state. this standard supplants the original 1927-style route marker, which featured the Native American whirling logs symbol. unfortunately, said symbol looks just like a particular emblem of an onerous German regime, so the highway signs were quickly revised after World War II broke out.

( flags the listing if I even mention the name of the symbol. or the name of the regime. y\'all can figure it out. ask your grandpa.)

An original of these is very rare to find scrapped. Most of them have vanished from the back roads of Arizona many years ago, replaced with the modern issue. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without paying an arm and a leg on the collector\'s market.

The sign is 10 by 12 inches, and weighs 2 lb. 15 oz.

This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!
