Peter Allen David (September 23, 1956) is a celebrated and prolific writer of comic books, novels, television, films and video games who often jokingly describes his occupation as "Writer of Stuff". His notable comic book work includes an award-winning 12-year run on The Incredible Hulk, as well as runs on Aquaman, Young Justice, SpyBoy, Supergirl, Fallen Angel, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099, Captain Marvel and X-Factor. David has earned multiple awards for his work, including a 1992 Eisner Award, a 1993 Wizard Fan Award, a 1996 Haxtur Award, a 2007 Julie Award and a 2011 GLAAD Media Award; mostly due to a writing style that is characterized by a mingling of real-world issues with humor including references to popular culture, as well as elements of metafiction & self-reference. In a round-about-way Peter David was brought into the writing career when Jim Owsley became an editor. Jim was acquainted with Peter's gift from earlier attempts to submit stories and purchased a Spider-Man story from him (The Spectacular Spider-Man #103 (June 1985)). this lead Owsley to also purchase "The Death of Jean DeWolff", a violent murder mystery darker in tone than the usually lighter Spider-Man stories (The Spectacular Spider-Man #107–110 (October 1985 – January 1986)). After some highs and loww, Jim Owsley stepped back from editorial duties and Bob Harras took over as editor. Harras offered David a struggling title that no one else wanted to write (The Incredible Hulk). By accepting this Albatross, David achieved a mostly free rein to do whatever he wanted with the character. It was during this 12-year run on Hulk that allowed David to explore the recurring themes of the Hulk's multiple personality disorder (MPD). Thus allowing David to explain his periodic changes between the more rageful and less intelligent Green Hulk and the more streetwise, cerebral Gray Hulk, and exploring the childhood abuse at the hands of his father. The late 1980s and 1990s included runs on Wolverine, the New Universe (Mark Hazzard: Merc & Justice). David wrote a seven-issue Aquaman mini-series (The Atlantis Chronicles) for DC Comics (1990). Exploring the history of Atlantis in the full script format. He later wrote another Aquaman miniseries, (Aquaman: Time and Tide (1994)), which led to relaunching a new monthly Aquaman series (#1-#46). This run on Aquaman (much like his run on the HUlk) gained notoriety; for in the book's second issue, Aquaman lost a hand & was replaced with a harpoon. David recast the character as an aggressive man of action, one deserving of greater respect. His other notable comic book work includes Young Justice, SpyBoy, Supergirl, Fallen Angel, Spider-Man & Captain Marvel. Martin "Marty" Egeland is a comic artist born in the U.S.A. He has worked for publishers such as Marvel; Malibu; DC Comics; Image; Dark Horse Comics & Peregrine Entertainment. His area of concentration and expertise is as a Penciler & Cover Artist. HOWARD M. He has worked on such books as Star Wars: Episode 1 The Phantom Menace - Obi-Wan Kenobi, X-Men Unlimited, Aquaman, Joker/Mask, The Simpsons, Disney Adventures (Kim Possible), Star Wars: Tag & Bink are Dead, and Star Wars Tales. He is the creator-writer-inker of Gun Fu, Intrigue and Gazillion. He is the creator-writer of Hyperkinetic from Image Comics, a science-fiction action-comedy about four female intergalatic bounty hunters: Shum (writer), Matteo Scalera (artist)& Oscar Celestini (colorist). He, also, worked on Fusillade, Supertemporal &"Fat Boy and Harvey" from AXIOM. His newest work is The Wondrous World. In 2007, DC Comics asked Howard to create a new comic for its online site. It's a comedy-adventure strip called Alpha Monkey: Matteo Scalera (art), Oscar Celestini (colorist), Bobby Rubio (co-creator) & Howard Shum (writer/inker). Furthermore, he wrote and directed an independent feature film in 2006; a comedy titled "The Secret World of Comic Book Artists" and starring AnnaLynne McCord (Transporter 2) and Eric Weldon (The Tyra Banks Show). Two comic book artists and a beautiful girl attempt to meet a seemingly insurmountable art deadline. In the process they ruminate about life, love, religion and why there aren't any young guys named "Dick."
