Decorated with an armorial shield and the Latin motto \"Amicitia Amor et Veritas\" - \"Friendship, Love and Truth\".

Made in England, c. 1850\'s.

One of the most famous Friendly Societies in the Commonwealth, Odd Fellows is an international fraternity consisting of lodges first documented in 1730 in London. Both modern Freemasonry and the Odd Fellows came into existence around the same time, the 18th century, and both came from the workers guilds. However, unlike the Freemasons that put emphasis on self-improvement, the Odd Fellowship prioritised doing good works in the community.

Excellent antique condition, no chips or cracks. Some paint markings near the top of the handle.
