Antique c1930’s English “Smiths” Westminster Chiming Mantel Clock with Silence.This is an antique c1930's English "Smiths" Westminster chiming mantel clock with Silence. This is in outstanding condition and is infull working order. It has a beautiful dome topped oak body with decorative embellishments to each side of the case. The oak has a light brown coloured finish with a darkervisible grain and a soft subtle shine. The face is circular in shape with a silver colouredmetal chapter ring, silver coloured numerals and gold coloured hands. To theleft of the number nine is the chime/silence selector lever (fullyfunctional). The face is protected by a circular convex glass door with a brass bezel. The glass is in excellent condition with no scratches,chips or cracks. To the rear is the door to themechanism chamber. The door is intact and also in excellent condition.This chimes at quarter past the hour, half past the hour, quarter to the hourand on the hour. On the hour it also chimes the number of hours. This comes complete with its pendulum and key. The clock was cleaned and services on the 25th April 2024.
