Made of solid oak and is ornately carved. Cast iron base has a nickel plated finish. Seat swivel elliptically. See video. It is in excellent condition and is very sturdy. It has been professionally restored. Made by the Arch Stewart Company Glasgow. The chair was used in the passenger ships large dining hall and was numbered on the top back with a brass tag so wait staff could locate the correct diner with their order. Measures overall 23 1/2" in width by 33" in height by 17" in depth and weighs 55 pounds. Base and seat will be shipped it two separate boxes for economical shipping. Ships via FedEx. Shipping to the lower 48 states will be $250.00. I will refund anything that is less than actual shipping costs. Local pickup is also an option. I am located in El Paso Illinois 61738.
