Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Victorian Period Accessories. Antique Victorian Shadowbox Picture Frame. Probably solid walnut. Has insizing on inner frame (probably inner in sized area was ebonized). Has a gilded gold inner liner that ea painted gold. The whole frame painted gold. Deep frame. Dates circa 1870. Selling as pictured (NO GLASS, NO BACKBOARD). Guaranteed antique and from the 1860-1880 time period. Condition good for age. Gold paint worn in areas. I don\'t see any breaks or repairs. Frame front completely painted gold. Has hanging wire. Around 150 years old. You may notice minor scuffs and dings from normal age and use. Overall measures about 14 3/4\" by about 12 5/8\" and 3\" deep overall at extremes. Will hold a 8\" by 10\" picture ( inner rabbet 8\" x 10\"). Guaranteed 19th Century.
