A wonderful, hand-made wooden pencil box from an unknown hand. Most of the text isindecipherable, though the date 1871 can beclearly seen. There is overall general wear and staining, along with a couple of minor losses. From a North Carolinaestate with very interesting folk art , basketry, etc. 10 1/2\" x 2 1/4\" x 2 3/8\".
