Antique cast iron bowl shaped stand made by Wilton Cast Iron. Ornate design. The underside shows gold paint though it has worn away to just cast iron on the exposed side with so very minor traces of remnant paint. No rust.
It is 4.25” tall and 5.25” wide. The bottom of the bowl is about 3.75” wide. It weighs just under 2 lbs. (1 lb. 14 oz.). Initially I thought this was a riser/stand for an oil lamp. Others have suggested a plant stand and still others have suggested that it is to set on the top of a wood stove for a metal bowl with water to add humidity to the air. 🤷🏻♂️
