This is a mystery to me. This was in with my mother's makeup. I suspect it was from the early 1950s and used to write letters. She traveled to New York City and worked for a nationally recognized writer and attend parties. I wonder if this was to write the thank you letters.
Anyway, the handle is write and shinny. It is lightweight. I think it is carved shell that has a pearlized effect.
It has two hand grip areas.
It is a pen for dipping into a bottle of ink.
