CONDITION: Some rust marks inside from use. It is in otherwise excellent condition considering it is well over 100 years old. #C749

This jasper ware porcelain box was produced in England by Wedgwoodin the 1890s. It has the word “England”only. The box is 4 1/4 inches long, 1 78 inches wide and1 5/8inches high. It is deep cobalt blue with high relief decoration inwhite. There is amythological group with a winged goddess on ahorse drawn chariot and a god with a spear.The decoration is finely detailed. A ring of roses trims the edgeof the lid and there are snowflake-like medallions scattered about. #C749
